People who don’t drink enough water or don’t compensate the loss of fluids are at an increased risk of salt precipitation and stone formation in the kidney and gall bladder, and increased risk for disorders of mental function, digestive and heart problems.

We suggest a few healthy alternatives to ordinary water which can occasionally get boring or sometimes you just want to drink something healthy, but with taste.

Sassy Water

Nutritionist Cynthia Sas is responsible for a revolutionary diet based on a simple and healthy beverage.

It improves digestion, reduces flatulence, revitalizes, strengthens the cardiovascular system and the body releases toxins.

Ingredients

  • 2 liters of water;
  • 1 tbsp. grated ginger;
  • 1 cucumber;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 12 mint leaves.

Honey Water

Dissolve a teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and you’ll get a drink that is almost identical to blood plasma.

It strengthens the immune system and treats colds, and improves digestive function. It also has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Drink the honey water as soon as you wake up in the morning and at bedtime.

Flavored Water With Seasonal Fruit

This healthy and refreshing drink will soothe your thirst. Store bought flavored water often contain sugar, so you should try making your own.

Choose your preferred fruit and make your own flavored water. Our  recommendation is:

  • 2 liters of water;
  • 2 grated apples;
  • Cinnamon

Mix the ingredients in a bottle and leave them for 1 – 2 days. Strain the mixture and enjoy the delicious and healthy beverage.
