Jeff Montenegro · April 2, 2018 ·

Do you suffer from dry feet that itch? Many people suffer from this problem, because the skin on their feet has no oil glands, and therefore the feet get dry very easily. At this point you need to know that the sweat glands are the only ones that maintain the humidity of the foot. Sometimes even the sweat glands are unable to keep your feet wet. In such cases your feet tend to get dry, itchy and you feel a burning sensation in them, which makes you feel very uncomfortable.

However there is no room for panic. These are solutions for the problem of dry feet, you can try and use the one that suits you best. That is why here in this article we will show you several natural remedies that will help you treat dry and cracked feet:

Lemon juice

The acid in lemon helps in dissolving the dead skin cells. Therefore we recommend that you soak your feet in lemon juice for about 10 minutes. After that you need to remove all the dead skin from your feet.

Olive oil

The olive oil has a moisturizing effect and therefore is ideal for cracked and dry feet. In order to improve the effect, you can add a few drops of lemon or lavender oil.

Vaseline

Massage your feet with Vaseline, and for better effect put the Vaseline on at night and sleep with cotton socks. This way the Vaseline will be absorbed better. In the morning wash your feet as you normally do.

Sugar

Using equal amounts of each, make a mixture of olive oil and brown sugar. Now use this mixture to massage your feet and after 10-15 minutes, rinse off the mixture with cold water.

Honey

The natural enzymes in the honey can help your feet to recover. Therefore what you need to do is put your feet in warm water and add a little bit of honey in it. After 10-15 minutes, your feet will be a lot softer.

Milk

Milk is rich in vitamin A and other nutrients that help the skin to be brighter and healthier. Milk also contains lactic acid, which stimulates the formation of new cells. This means that you need to make a foot bath using 1 cup milk and 5-7 cups of hot water. Soak your feet in this bath for several minutes.

Sesame oil

Sesame oil is rich in vitamin E and three types of acid, and also has antibacterial properties. Therefore you need to keep your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes, and then massage them using sesame oil. The best time to apply this method is before going to bed

Turmeric

Although it will make your feet yellow, as a medicine, turmeric, is very useful and worth a try. Now all you need to do is mix 3 tablespoons of turmeric powder with a few drops of coconut oil and apply this mixture on your feet.
