Oil Pulling: The Technique That is Worth A Try | Your Stylish Life

The oil pulling technique has been for thousands of years. However, only recently, it has gained wide popularity due to the results in teeth whitening and refreshing breath.

In India, this procedure is used for medical purposes – from pain therapy to heart disease treatment.

“Western science has yet to verify the results of this method,” says John Dular, from Ayurvedic Medical Center in Boulder, Colorado. “However, much of this suggests that oil pulling could have a very broad range of effects,” he added.

There’s ample evidence that this way, you can neutralize the effects of toxins and pesticides in oil. The oil can extract these substances from the fatty tissues of the body. In addition, studies have shown that oil pulling can be used to treat gingivitis.Oil also removes teeth deposits.

Instructions:

Mix half a teaspoon of unrefined sesame oil and half a teaspoon of coconut oil and add a bit of ground turmeric.Keep this mixture in your mouth for 10 to 20 minutes in the morning, on an empty stomach. Because this method creates a lot of saliva, feel free to spit the saliva out. When you’re done, spit the mixture out.

You can also use unrefined sunflower or olive oil.
