This infection that attacks the mouth, feet and hands is caused by a group of viruses, and begins with a fever. After a day or two marks or bumps appear on the hands, mouth and feet, and sometimes on the buttocks.
The infection is referred to as (HFMD) Hand, foot and mouth disease.
Symptoms of the infection:
- temperature
- loss of appetite
- dry throat
- general weakness
- mouth sores
- a red rash on the palms, feet, buttocks, or genitals
Usually it may take 3-6 days for the symptoms to appear, and the infection itself lasts seven days and passes by itself.
