Doctor Barnes has created a homemade test that you can do in the warmth of your home. It’s easy and fast and you’ll learn how your thyroid gland is working in no time.
Fifty years ago, Dr. Broda Barnes discovered that the body temperature is an indicator of waking activities. He particularly emphasized the body temperature immediately after waking up. In his book he explained the thyroid gland as well as a variety of problems and diseases that may occur in the event that the thyroid gland is not working properly. Doctor Barnes has created a home test that you can do in your home. This test is easy and fast and you’ll learn how your thyroid gland is working.
Before going to bed, take a thermometer and shake it well. The temperature on it has to be 35°.
Once you get up, immediately put the thermometer under your armpit. Hold the thermometer for ten minutes. Read the result and write it down. This result is known as the “early morning basal temperature”. Normal temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8.
Note that your temperature can vary because of different infectious diseases. This also applies to women with menstruation. Therefore you need to take this test when you are completely healthy.
The test results
Your thyroid is working normally if your temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8.
In case that your temperature is below 36.5, then you are suffering from a reduced work of the thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). Keep in mind that depression, lack of energy, fatigue, infections, chronic headaches, lack of memory and concentration and hair loss are symptoms of hypothyroidism.
If your temperature is higher than 36.8, you are suffering from an accelerating work of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) or you are having an infection in the body.
In order to get accurate results you need to do this test three days in a row.
In case you find out that your temperature is above or below the normal range, consult your doctor immediately.
Good liver function, stress-free life, selenium, vitamin A, cortisol, magnesium and vitamin Bare very important for the good functioning of the thyroid gland.
