This is truly a fantastic recipe and the best thing is that you can use it as a starting point and then you can customize it and even create your own recipe that will work best for you. Namely, you can later dilute this tea, if it is too strong for you.
Turmeric and ginger – fresh root ice tea.
- 2 plus 6 cups of water (2 cups for soaking, and 6 cups of cold water need to be added to the concentrate)
- 4 inches of fresh turmeric, thinly sliced or chopped
- 4 inches of fresh ginger, thinly sliced or chopped
- 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
- 1/4 -1/2 cup of honey
In order to prepare this potion, first, you need to add the turmeric, ginger, and the pepper in a bowl. Then you need to pour 2 cups of water over them, stir this mixture and then heat it. Bring this mixture to a boiling point and then lower the heat and cook this mixture for several minutes over medium heat. After several minutes, remove the mixture from the heat.
Next thing you need to do is cover the bowl and let it sit for an hour or overnight. While the mixture is still hot, you need to add the honey so that it dissolves better. However if you are having high quality honey make sure that you add it when the mixture is all cooled down.
Now you need to strain this mixture. If you use fresh root, you can save it and make more tea from it. However if you use powder, in that case make sure that you use cheesecloth to strain this mixture in order to remove the powder, as nicely as possible. This way you drink will be much better.
Now that you have the concentrate, all you need to do is cool it in the fridge and make sure that you dilute it before drinking it. It is recommendable to add 6 cups water to this mixture, but you can add more if you want to, that is up to you.
With proper and regulated diet and a little physical activity this tea will give really good results that will be notable in no time.
