All the above mentioned health benefits of garlic constitute it as one of the best vegetables. Garlic is also used in many dishes because of its taste. It’s a delicious, nutritious and very healthy food, and it’s perfect for combining.

Apart from the fact that garlic is great for lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, It’s the best natural cure for the immune system. Garlic is also very beneficial in the treatment of all kinds of infections including ear infections.

However, the following groups of people are not advised to consume garlic because it can lead to serious problems and complications.

Garlic has a natural anticoagulant properties, or in other words it is the perfect medicine for the treatment of circulation problems. It can prevent blood clots that can lead to heart attack, thrombosis and stroke.

Still, medical experts say people should not take anticoagulant drugs because they can lead to excessive bleeding.

People who suffer from any condition requiring prescription medications should not consume garlic, without consulting their doctor.

People with liver problems should avoid garlic because it can reduce the degradation of some drugs in the liver, or in some cases can reduce the efficiency of drugs taken for liver issues. In fact, almost all drugs can have harmful interactions with garlic in any form.

If you have a sensitive stomach, you should be aware that garlic can be difficult for your digestive system. In addition, it can cause some gastrointestinal counter indications in the stomach when taken with drugs.

For pregnant women, “moderate” amounts of raw garlic are safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding period, but taking garlic as a medicine in this period is not recommended.

People who have blood pressure within the normal range or close to the lower limit should avoid garlic. Its consumption can further lower blood pressure and cause other health complications.
