Ayurvedic texts recommend drinking water that’s stored in copper canisters. It’s believed that copper has antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.Copper is an essential mineral for our body, and several medical studies have shown the benefits of drinking water stored in copper pots.
A study conducted in 2012 showed that storing contaminated water in copper pots for up to 16 hours at room temperature, significantly reduces the presence of harmful microbes.
