- Select the base (alcohol, vegetable oil, Hydrolat).
- Select the essential oils according to your taste, mood and notes.
- Mix the base and the essential oils in a dark glass bottle. Optionally you can add fixators (only if you haven’t used oils that are inherently fixators). At this point, your perfume is practically defined – consider giving the perfume a personalized name!
- Sometimes, in the cases when the perfume is based on some oils or certain plants, it is possible the occurrence of deposits. In this case you need to filter the perfume through a coffee filter.
- Leave the perfume to stay for at least 15 days. Store it in a cool and dark place.
- Make some changes in the composition, if you need to. Be sure to write down these changes.
- Let the perfume “mature” for at least a month.
To create a natural perfume, you will need a glass vial of 50 ml.After you have added the essential oils in the alcohol, let them stay for 48 hours, and then fill the bottle to the top with non-carbonated or distilled water.
Before each use, shake the bottle.
Soothing woody scent
- 10 ml of ethyl alcohol
- 10 drops of essential oil of patchouli
- 10 drops of essential oil of rosewood
- 5 drops of essential oil of cedar
- 5 drops of essential oil of rose
- 30 drops of lemon essential oil
Stimulating citrus fragrance
- 10 ml of 75% ethyl alcohol
- 10 drops of essential oils of geranium
- 30 drops of lemon essential oil
- 50 drops of essential oils of tangerine
Exotic-floral scent
- 10 ml of ethyl alcohol
- 20 drops of essential oil of sandalwood
- 10 drops of essential oil of ylang-ylang
- 40 drops of essential oil of bergamot
Now your perfume is finished and ready for use. The only thing you need to do now is to give name to the perfume!
