Aloe Vera is quite the plant. A succulent plant, it belongs to the lily family, the same family that garlic and onions belong to.

Different parts of the plant have different effects on the human body, as Aloe Vera has both internal and external applications.

I just love to juice the inner gel of the plant. I even add it to my smoothies. Don’t forget to read the last section about the over-use of the plant as well as dose recommendations.

Aloe Vera has over 200 active components such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, polysaccharide and fatty acids. So, it’s not surprising that Aloe Vera gives a wide range of remedies. Much of the Aloe Vera leaf is filled with a clear gel-like substance, containing 99% water.

Aloe Vera Is High In Vitamins And Minerals

It contains many vitamins, such as vitamin A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 niacin), B6. It also contains B12, being one of the few plants to contain it.

Of the 20 minerals found in Aloe Vera include: calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium, copper, manganese.

Aloe Vera Is High In Amino Acids & Fatty Acids

The building blocks of protein, there about 22 amino acids, necessary for the human body, 8 of which are essential. 18 -20 amino acids can be found in the amino acids, with all 8 essential amino acids.

It also includes a wide array of fatty acids. Containing three plant sterols, all of which are important fatty acids: HCL cholesterol (lowers fats in the blood), campesterol and B-sitosterol. All of them are helpful in reducing symptoms of allergies and acid digestion.  Aloe Vera also includes: linoleic, linolenic, myristic, caprylic, oleic, palmitic and stearic.
