Mariz Pios, a professor of gymnastics and former French state representative in gymnastics, managed to fight off a terrible autoimmune disease.
After curing herself, she decided to share the story with the rest of the world by writing a book Bees Healed me from Multiple Sclerosis, which after being published immediately attracted a great interest in the public. Namely, before 24 years, when Mariz was 50, she got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The doctor, who diagnosed her after numerous examinations, considered that the disease could not be cured with the appointed therapy, and in the best case, its progress could only be slowed down.
Mariz wrote at the beginning of her book that she felt as if the doctor was telling her: “Poor lady, there is nothing I can do for you” and also added: “If official medicine could not cure my disease with medicines, I will try all that alternative medicine offers, i.e. – apitherapy. However, before Mariz had decided to undergo a pretty painful bee therapy, she also tried to help herself with some other natural methods. She felt as if all therapies together helped her and relieved the muscle cramps and headaches, but unfortunately, the disease continued to progress.
“Considering the fact that quackery is a frequent notion in alternative medicine, I looked up for information how to receive apitherapy from scientists who have a say in this issue i.e. professionals who have been trying to cure Multiple Sclerosis with bees’ poison for years. Later on, I found out that the famous surgeon and oncologist, Professor Henri Joyeux, lives in Montpellier. He was advocating the use of bee products and also helped me with his advices during the writing of the book later on.”-stated Mariz.
“I was taking propolis for four weeks regularly. I began with the bees’ stings systematically in June 2005, twice per week. Previously, from time to time, I have tried bees’ venom on myself, so that I can get used to it, and established that my organism was able to handle it. Furthermore, I started with one bee’ sting and then I would increase the number from time to time, arriving to 18 stings in September that year. Later I increased the number to 35. “
“The last results from the magnetic resonance from 2011 showed that all lesions (damages) on the brain nerves and spinal cord disappeared entirely”- this brave woman pointed out.
