Wet surfaces such as wet wall parts or spilled liquid on the floor during bath time as well as insufficient heating and airflow in conditions of increased moist in the room are the ideal places for mold to develop. Today, we’ll give you a procedures that will help you to eliminate mold with the help of bleach and tea tree oil instead of using specialized mold removers.
- Mix 3 parts water and 1 part bleach in a sprayer.Spray the molded place and leave it like that for 20 minutes at least.After it dries, repeat the process.You can wash the surface with water and a mild detergent (dish detergent). It’s best if you use gloves, old clothing and safety glasses during this procedure.
- You’ll need:
- Oil from tea tree;
- An open window;
- A sponge, cloth and a towel;
- A toothbrush;
- A scrubber brush.
To start with, there should be a constant airflow either from a ventilator or from a slightly opened window. This is important so that further development of the mold is prevented.
Mix two spoons of tea tree oil and two glasses of water in a bottle sprayer. Then, pray the molded surface and leave it like that for an hour. After that, scrub the surface with the scrubber brush and the toothbrush will help you to brush the hard to reach places. Lastly, wipe the area with a sponge, then with a cloth and in the end with a towel. The wall shouldn’t be washed with water, just wiped.
The tea tree has antibacterial and antifungal properties which will prevent the mold from spreading. If you don’t succeed in acquiring tea tree, you can do the same procedure using vinegar instead.
