However, thankfully there are indoor plants that can help you get more oxygen, as well as get rid of the chemicals (such as formaldehyde). Today we give you 10 plants to help fight these chemicals.
English Ivy
This climbing wine, available in various shapes and colors, can clear the air and get rid of formaldehyde.
Bamboo Palm
Excellent at eliminating formaldehyde in the air, this is a really good plant for busy individuals. Bamboo Palm is very low maintenance, and only needs a few hours of sun, as opposed by the English Ivy which needs constant attention.
Peace Lily
An attractive plant with blooming flowers, it can get rid of acetone, benzene, ammonia, alcohols, and many other toxins. However, it does need attention, as it requires you to wash the leaves a few times a month and should be insect free.
Phalaenopsis Orchids
They may not be a popular choice, as many homeowners think they are not easy to care for. However, it’s quite the opposite. They are actually undemanding. They remove xylene in the air, a pollutant found in paints and glues. The Dendrobium Orchid also has similar traits.
Ferns
