According to a research conducted on 19 men, those men who did not get enough sleep had a higher level of fatty acid in their blood. They had 15 to 30 percent more fatty acids than the ones who had 8.5 hours of sleep each night. Also, researchers found that the increased level of fatty acid can cause a higher degree of insulin resistance, which can lead to pre-diabetes. However, those who had enough sleep did not had any sign of obesity or pre-diabetes.
